Last week, Dastak featuring Ali Raza and Sohai Ali Abro, premiered its first two episodes. Take a look at the review to decide whether you must watch it.
After winning hearts in Iqtidar, Ali Raza is back with another intense drama, Dastak, along with Sohai Ali Abro. Sohai was popular for her role in Green TV’s Gentlemen. Dastak is directed by Marina Khan and written by Sarwat Nazir. It is produced under the banner of Six Sigma Production.
The drama was about to start on 24th January 2025. Last week, the drama aired on TV in Pakistan and on YouTube all over the world.
Dastak plot
Kiran, played by Sohai Ali Abro, gets married to Saif, played by Feroz Kadri. However, Saif loves another girl. On the other hand, Moeez, played by, Ali Raza loves Kiran secretly.
Dastak episode 1-2 review
The drama starts with an entry of Kiran’s Mamu at her house as she is getting married. Her mamu is here to attend the wedding plus he is very supportive of his niece. The story also highlights his conflict with Kiran’s father and her incomplete love story, leaving viewers loving this character. The sweet banter between Kiran’s Father and Mamu will surely steal your heart, especially Mamu’s character.
Kiran is seen as an obedient daughter, ready to get married to Saif, even without meeting him. On the other hand, Saif is seen as an arrogant and stubborn son who loves another girl and doesn't want to marry Kiran. His parents are emotionally blackmailing him to get married and his mother is doing fake drama about her health. In this scenario, you might see Saif on the right track.
In one scene, Kiran's parents and her mamu visit to Saif’s house to meet Saif. During the conversation with Saif, Kiran's Mamu learns that he is not interested in marriage, later Mamu tells the same thing to her parents. Unfortunately, her father refused to trust her mamu's suggestions.
The appearance of Ali Raza as Moeez in the first two episodes is too short. In a scene, Kiran and Mamu visit the college to distribute her wedding cards to her friends and teachers. Here, she met with Moeez and he asked her where you were. Kiran tells him that she is busy with her marriage preparations which breaks Moeez’s heart but he gently meets her and Mamu.
Kiran also gave him a wedding card, but he refused to attend the wedding and left. Here, Mamu tells Kiran that Moeez secretly loves you, but Kiran takes these words as a joke.
The episode was literally gripping, but Ali’s fans might find it boring because of his less screen space. We are sure that his character will grow and his appearance too in upcoming episodes. The show is best for those who are looking for an emotional plus intense drama.
