Colors TV’s most popular show “Doree” is returning to the television screen with a new season.
Launched on November 6, 2023, Doree became a household name due to its unique storyline and engaging plot. The show revolved around a young girl “Doree Thakur,” played by Mahi Bhanushali, abandoned by her family as a child. The girl was a powerful character who navigated new challenges while growing up in a conservative society.
After a few months of successfully on-air, the show went off-air with the hope of returning with a new season. Now, the hope has become real as the show has returned with the new season and will start its telecast Tonight at 10:30 PM.
Expected plot of Doree 2
The story of Doree 2 will continue from season 1. However, the story will take a 14-year leap where the young Doree will become an adult Doree. She has now become a strong compassionate woman to honor her foster father’s legacy.
Doree’s life takes an unexpected turn when she and her father rescue an infant “Shubhi.” Similar to Doree, Shubhi is also abandoned by the ruthless Thakurain Rajnandini.
Embracing her role as Shubhi’s protector, Doree stands against society's judgemental as a single mother. However, her life is also expected to be easier with the support of Ganga Prasad and a new hero named Maan.
Doree 2 has an original cast and a new addition
While Doree 2 is leaping the original story, the story will also include new characters and actors. As we mentioned before, Mahi Bhanushali played the role of younger Doree. Priyanshi Yadav is all set to play the role of grown-up Doree. She was last seen in Star Plus’s Pandya Store Generation 2. However, Amar Upadhyay will replay the role of Doree’s foster father Ganga.
On top of that, Ishaan Dhawan, who was last seen in Sony Sab’s Dhruv Tara, is expected to play the role of Maan. He will play the male lead opposite Doree. However, more details about his characters have not been revealed yet.
Uttaran fame Srijita De is also making a comeback on Indian Television with Doree 2. She will portray the role of Thakurain Rajnandini. The cast list has not ended here as there might be other supporting cast included in the show.
