sky force critics review

This Republic Day weekend comes with another patriotic movie starring Akshay Kumar. While the Bollywood star currently struggles to deliver a smash hit, the question with the Sky Force release raises whether he will make a comeback after a long time.

When the Sky Force trailer came, fans started comparing it with Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter because both movies have very similarities as both are based on aerial wars. As the movie has been released, it would be interesting to see whether the movie receives praise from fans.

Sky Force Plot

Sky Force directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapur is based on the true event of India’s retaliatory attack on the Sargodha Airbase of Pakistan. It also highlights the context of India’s first airstrike in 1965.

The patriotism movie also focuses on the brotherhood bond between Wing Commander K.O Ahuja (played by Akshay Kumar) and T.K Vijaya aka Tabby. The film showcased how Ahuja and other soldiers made the first airstrike successful with their sharp minds and efforts. However, the movie’s main plot starts when the mission gets accomplished and all officers reach back to their bases, and Ahuja notices that Tabby is missing.

Now, Ahuja will go on another mission to find Tabby, as he sees his younger brother in Tabby and Tabby’s wife played by Sara Ali Khan also asks him to bring back Tabby. Will Ahuja succeed in bringing back Tabby from Pakistan and how will he find Tabby? You will discover it in the film.

Sky Force Critics Review

While several critics appreciate the whole movie, the first half of Sky Force is becoming a part of criticism. Many critics claim that the first half looks predictable and doesn’t give the required time to the characters' development.

As per the NDTV Movies. Sky Force tends to miss the ability to showcase what the story could demonstrate. It also loses in the surfeit of AI or computer-generated Air combat and fight sequences.  When it comes to VFX, it seems overly blurry. In this exhausting stretch, the film shows little of what is important to the story.

In contrast to the first half, the second half is much appreciated by the critics because of its engaging plots and impressive climax. You will never feel bored in the second half, as the second-half plots will keep you engaged with soothing and appreciative background music. Critics claim that the climax will surely make you emotional.

We want to appreciate the movie for its fast-paced storyline and plot.

Sky Force Critic Review based on performance

The performance of all the actors seems impressive. According to the First Post, Akshay Kumar impresses viewers with his acting, his act of wearing a defense service uniform, and makes him the emotional backbone of the movie. The critic from India Today states that he dropped the exact amount of emotion that is needed in a patriotic movie.

Veer Paharia is also appreciated by critics. India Post stated that he had a smashing debut with his magnetic performance in the movie. While the screen space of Sara Ali Khan, Nimrit Kaur, and other supporting actors is less, all of them performed well.

Sky Force Review Verdict

Sky Force seems to be a perfect one for celebrating Republic Day. Some of its tracks or plots seem similar to other movies and dull, especially in the first half. However, you will surely enjoy the second half and the amazing performance of Akshay Kumar and Veer Paharia.
