Wamiqa Gabbi might join Ranveer Singh’s upcoming movie inspired by Shaktimaan

Baby John fame Wamiqa Gabbi might play the female lead in Ranveer Singh’s upcoming movie inspired by Shaktimaan.

Since the announcement of the Shaktimaan movie by Sony Pictures International Production in 2022, fans are eagerly waiting for the movie. However, there are several controversies going around the release of the movie, especially due to the intervention of Mukesh Khanna. These have led fans to assume that the Shaktimaan movie has been canceled. 

Despite all the controversies, the film is not been cancelled. In reality, the film is in the pre-production phase. However, there is no official confirmation yet, but Basil Joseph, who is famous for directing Mrinnal Murali, is currently writing the script. He is also holding a meeting with Ranbir Singh for this film. 

As previously reported, Ranveer Singh will play the male lead in this superhero movie which is already boosting fans’ excitement. Now, India Forum has reported that Wamiqa Gabbi is a front-runner to play the female lead. 

Wamiqa Gabbi is already popular and making waves after the release of Baby John featuring Varun Dhawan. She also has a growing reputation for her incredible performance in both Hindi and regional films, making her a perfect fit for this project.  

The source revealed that the cast will only finalized after the script is completed. As per Pinkvilla, the movie will step into the filming phase in May 2025. If everything goes well, the superhero film is all set to release in 2026.

It will be quite interesting to see who will be cast in this much-awaited superhero movie.
