Zee TV’s popular show Jagriti struggles to take viewers' attention, despite having an engaging and unique storyline. In the current track, Jagriti (a young girl) challenges the age-old tradition and locks horns with its leader who is a mafia.
While Zee TV is aiming for a major revamp, it is also making surprising decision.
Despite airing in a prime time slot, Jagriti fails to get enough viewership and TRP. Therefore, the channel and makers have decided to leap into the show’s story where Jagriti's character will grow.
Jagriti Generation Leap will introduce new faces and a fresh storyline
Most of the current cast is expected to make an exit from Jagriti to make way for the new cast. As we mentioned before, younger Jagriti (Asmi Deo) will make an exit from the show. In addition, other supporting cast members are expected to leave the show.
Currently, the storyline revolves around Kalkikant's malicious act, where he traps Jagriti's father in a false murder case. Post leap, Adult Jagriti is expected to fight against Kalkikant to prove her father's innocence. Her struggle and fight are expected to be easier with the support of a new male lead.
Not Adhik Mehta, but Namish Taneja will play the male lead with Rachna Mistry
As we told you on our YouTube channel, Anupama fame Adhik Mehta and Rachna Mistry will play the lead in Jagriti post leap. Rachna Mistry, who was last seen in Dabangi, will play grown-up Jagriti. However, Adhik Mehta was reported to play the new male lead.
Unfortunately, things between Adhik and the production house don’t work. Now, Mishri fame Namish Taneja is confirmed to play the male lead opposite Rachna Mistry in Jagriti. The leap promises a fresh dynamic with the inclusion of new leads. The leap promo is expected to be unveiled soon.
