After Kushal Tandon’s Exit, Makers Finalizing New Cast; Mock Shoots Conducted, Pranali Rathod in Talks for Lead Role.
Ekta Kapoor’s hit show Kumkum Bhagya is gearing up for a major generation leap. As we told you before, the current cast is all set to exit the show after Leap. The casting buzz has intensified.
Kushal Tandon was set to make his entry as a lead. However, he backed out due to a back injury. Following Kushal Tandon’s exit, the makers are actively auditioning new actors to take the show forward.
Dheeraj Dhoopar, Paras Kalnawat & Adhik Mehta in Contention
According to the latest reports, kundali Bhagya and Sherdil Shergill fame Dheeraj Dhoopar has given a mock shoot for Kumkum Bhagya 2.0. He was last seen in Zee TV’s another show Rab Se Hai Dua.
Apart from Dheeraj, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 contestant Paras Kalnawat and Anupamaa actor Adhik Mehta have also done a mock shoot for the post-leap storyline. The makers are keen on finalizing fresh faces to revamp the show and keep audiences engaged.
Pranali Rathod confirmed for the Lead Role
Adding to the excitement, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fame Pranali Rathod also been approached for a pivotal role. She was last seen in Colors TV’s Durga. According to the SBS, Pranali Rathod has signed the contract. It means that she is set to join Kumkum Bhagya 2.0.
