BARC has finally released the TRP of Indian shows of week 05 2025.
Top 20 Shows of Week 05
Like the previous week, Anupama secured the first spot with a little drop in its rating followed by Udne Ki Aasha at the second position. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai jumps to the third position with stable ratings. Jhanak takes a high jump to fourth position, followed by Mangal Lakshmi in fifth. For those unaware, Mangal Lakshmi entered into top 5 for the first time.
Advocate Anjali Awasthi dropped to 6th position with a stable TRP, followed by longest-running sitcom “Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma” at 7th position. Only reality show in the top 20, Laughter Chefs sits at 8th position and Parineeti gets 9th position. Surprisingly, the show that used to be the part of top 5, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin dropped significantly to the 10th position. It seems that the new generation track is failing to attract viewership. Therefore, the channel changes its slot.
Let’s get back to the top 20 list. Shiv Shakti gets the 11th position, followed by Megha Barsege at 12th and Mannat at 13th. Star Plus’s Maati Se Bandhi Dor secured the 14th position, followed by Ram Bhavan at the 15th spot.
Before the generation leap, Kumkum Bhagya reentered the top 20 at the 16th position, followed by its spin-off Bhagya Lakshmi at the 17th. Iss Ishq ka Rabb Rakha got the 18th position, Jaagriti got 19th and Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile closed the top 20 list at the last position.
Analysis
Most Star Plus shows fall badly, including Anupama. Seems like Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’s makers made a blunder by introducing a new generation, despite the previous generation blockbuster performance. Surprisingly, Zee TV shows make a surprising reentry in the Top 20 and get impressive TRP.
