Hollywood star Tom Holland has reassured fans that he is recovering well after sustaining a mild concussion on the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The incident occurred on September 19, 2025, during a stunt sequence at Pinewood UK, when a stunt line reportedly snapped. Paramedics were called, and Holland was treated for dizziness before being cleared without hospital admission.
Taking to Instagram after attending The Brothers Trust gala in London, Holland wrote, “I’m sorry I had to leave early but I’m feeling better and on the mend.” He attended the event with his fiancée and co-star Zendaya, highlighting his steady recovery.
Filming Suspension and Safety Measures
Production was briefly suspended following the incident, with Sony Pictures confirming that filming would pause for one week as a precaution. Industry insiders praised the decision, noting the importance of safeguarding Holland’s health given his commitment to performing his own stunts.
Filming officially resumes this week with scenes being shot in Basingstoke, Hampshire, which was transformed into 1970s New York. Local residents spotted dramatic sequences involving Spider-Man sliding across mats, interacting with armed police, and being pulled by an army truck.
The Brothers Trust Gala
Despite his injury, Holland made time for his family’s charity work. Founded in 2017, The Brothers Trust channels Holland’s global influence to support grassroots organizations. At the gala, funds were raised through sweepstakes and live contributions. Holland expressed gratitude to his parents, with a humorous nod to his father, comedian Dominic Holland, for keeping the event lively after his early exit.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day – A Fresh Start
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is the fourth installment in Marvel’s franchise. Holland teased fans at CinemaCon 2025, calling it “a fresh start” after the dramatic cliffhanger of No Way Home. Alongside Zendaya’s MJ, the cast includes Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Marvin Jones III as the villain Tombstone.
Crucially, Holland’s injury will not delay the film’s release. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to hit theaters on July 31, 2026, ensuring fans won’t have to wait longer to see the web-slinger swing back into action.
