Although the characters remain the same, the original actors will not reprise their roles. Instead, the series features a fresh voice cast, with Eric Robles serving as creator and showrunner. Live-Action Spin-Off: A New Era

In addition to the animated series, a live-action Stranger Things spin-off is currently in development. According to the Duffer Brothers, this project will be set in a different decade with entirely new characters. While it will exist within the Stranger Things universe, it will not continue the story of Eleven, Hawkins, or the Upside Down.
